Pacific Tool and Gauge makes new savage bolt heads for model 110 long action and model 10 short actions . There is a difference between long and short action bolt heads as well as a difference between right and left hand bolt heads . They also offer the different size bolt face .
You said a “.308 came out of this stock ” . .308 win normally uses a short action which is a model 10 and uses a different stock than a 110 model . So I’m not sure what stock you have . There is a difference between a center feed and a stacked feed action too . ie space between mounting screws on the stock .
