Brownells has several different basic tool kits but they are fairly expensive and almost always out of stock. There are several “basic” tool kits, such as the Weaver basic gunsmithing kit that are inexpensive but not quality tools… and it is extremely basic. The Weaver kit will get you going but won’t be everything you’ll need… and most of the tools won’t last.
I understand it is frustrating but there just aren’t any good gunsmithing tool kits out there… which is why everyone is saying to go to Brownell’s or Midway and make your own. That is also the reason I pointed you to my tool videos, to give you ideas for what you may need.
I also understand being retired, I am as well.
