It’s good to see that you’ve come up with a plan to get your tools together.
I pretty much went through Marks Tool lists, took stock of what
I already had, and have been filling in the gaps between them.
eBay is a good place to look for some of the various tools you may need.
I just picked up a set of four Grace USA brass starter punches for $20.95 with free shipping.
I also got a Vaughan 8-ounce hammer for $15.39 + $5.00 shipping ($20.39 Total) and a 2-ounce
Grayvik Hammer for $20 with free shipping. As I understand it, Vaughn will sell hammers with
a cosmetic defect under the Grayvik name.
Files have probably been my biggest expense but I wanted ones that should outlive me.
I saw some new old stock Made in USA Nicolson Files on eBay so it may be worth a look.
