Patrick,
Great question. It is one I have been pondering for several months. I came to the party late in life, therefore,
I appreciate John’s comments regarding comfort zone. I have been turning away some jobs that a gunsmith with experience would easily do. Adding a muzzle break for example. I don’t have a lathe nor the space for one.
All that being said, I could locate shops that have a lathe or can do extensive bluing.
It would require somehow establishing their credibility.
I don’t have the personal capacity/desire, budget or space to manufacturer parts. I do have a Foredom and it is very useful.
I am working through the AGI course but slowly.
My location is Muskegon, MI. So hunting and fishing counties/territory in this area.
I have been using my FFL to transfer firearms.
My advertising has been limited reflecting my skill sets at this time.
I will likely kick it up mid summer as John suggested.
