So….. Customer brings an Eastfield (S&W) in. Complaint of bolt not locking up on it. (Model 916) After disassembly of trigger group I can only find that the firing pin is broken and is protruding from the hole excessively. Would this cause the weapon to NOT lock up on cycling?
Disregard post, gun is dead! After further inspection, (read cleaning) the release lever is broken as well as the trigger guard. Repairs would be more than gun is worth. Filed under BER. ( Beyond economical repair)
Only BER if customer doesn’t want her fixed. Remember if gramps had it with him when he invaded Germany and when he shot at Hitler and when he kissed Marlyn Monroe (excuse the spelling) and shook Elvis hand and had Jimmy Hoffa shoot it with him back in the day, then it may be worth alot to him to have her fixed up.
NOW with all that said….I agree not worth the repairs 😆 Ken

I wish he did want it fixed, would be worth a lot to me! Unfortunately he decided to scrap it. However, I did buy it for 25.00. So, I’m gonna use it for parts. 95% is still in good condition.
