I need to pull the pivot pin on a Beretta Companion, the TR1 version. It looks to be just a screw, but It won’t budge even with an impact screwdriver. Tried heating up around 300F, no luck, but thought I’d ask here before I go up higher to soften any threadlocker that might have been used. Is there solder holding the block to the barrel? Any Companion – experienced pros out there?
I don’t know for sure if it is a screw or a pin but I believe it is a screw. Warm it up and soak her in good penatrating oil, then have another try with the impact screw driver. Make the screw driver tip fit well. Ken
