Question

There are designs out there that don’t have dedicated ejector. The firing pin doubles as such. Those guns are mostly rim fired, but there are a few center fired ones. I just worked on one; an old Mauser 1910 in .25 acp.

I know it works. But I have had this lingering thought. What happens if the guy just wants to un-chamber an unfired round? He may do it in a very rigorous manner, and the primer may happen to be a sensitive sort. Can it cause an out-of-battery ignition? It can be pretty bad, can it not?
