I had a Marlin 336 .30/30 older model come in. The Lever latch was stuck in full open. I’ve cleaned the gun, matched all parts up to view interaction. I’ve checked each and every part. The only part that showed need for replacement was the carrier rocker, and spring. I did replace these parts. Put the gun back together, but the same problem still exists. I have even reviewed the video on the 336, and matched all functions with another 336. HELP!!!!!!!!
Check to see if the loading gate spring has come loose and is jamming the carrier.
