Has anyone else ran into this issue? I have a Remington 7600 were the safety button was changed direction for left handed shooter and I am changing it back for a right hand. The safety button is locked tight every time I install it with new ball, old ball, new spring, old spring, new safety button all locks so tight I cannot push it with my thumb. A light tap with hammer will move it but not the strength of my thumb. If I install any combo of button/ball/spring and hold the spring lightly with a punch I can operate but when I install a slave pin it will not bind. I am stumped as to why this two factory springs old and new will hold it too tight for the safety ball to allow the plunger to move. Thanks for any info. Eric
I believe the position of the detent hole is off so the safety can get out of alignment and catch on the edge of the housing. You may have to replace the trigger housing, but check it out first. Ken
