Anyone ever replace one of these on a 870 Special Purpose shotgun? I have watched Bob cover this in the pro course. When you look at a schematic all they show is the actin bar lock, no washer. If this is the case and you drive out the existing pin what happens if the riveted over portion gets damaged. Is there enough meat on the existing pin to be re-riveted. Frank
When you go to remove the action bar lock grind off the head on the rivet so you don’t damage the aluminum or plastic trigger housing when the rivet/pin is driven out. Replace the rivet with a new one. Ken

I ordered one from Remington and talked to the guy about a washer and pin but he didn’t say much. He kept referring to it as an assembly. We will see what I get when I get it. This will be my first one.
Well I called Remington back the next day after I ordered the part and the guy I talked to says it comes with a hammer pin and washer. Well it arrived and no hammer pin and washer. So I got back on the phone and ordered the hammer pin and washer for the gun I have. It arrived yesterday and today I put it in. Really not much of a task. Gun works fine now. Frank
