I am an AGI student and just opened my pistolsmith business in Nor CA. My very first customer wants a trigger job on his Blackhawk. The sear hammer relationship appears neutral or even slightly negative. So my question is, if new model blackhawk hammer and sears are hard, deep enough, to change angles enough for a safe, lightweight target trigger?
The triggers are usually creepy and negative. They are creepy since Ruger makes them negative. If they were neutral or slightly positive they could be less creepy. Change the angle to make the relationship safe and correct….neutral to slightly positive. Then remove creep and lighten the springs or put in lighter springs for target trigger job. Don’t forget to time the cylinder when you are done…..if it isn’t slow now it will be when you are done. Ken
