Has anyone had any dealings with the Ruger PC40 carbines? The gun has a deep clunky rattle when I lightly shake it side to side. I took the gun apart and it appears in great shape. The rattle appears to be the bolt slide assembly tapping the inside of the forend. Is this normal? The customer has only fired about 100 rounds thru it and I believe it, it looks like new. Internet search did not come up with much and Ruger was not much help either. The gun runs fine also. Thanks
A lot of Ruger autos rattle. Is it bad? Depends on how much of a rattle and if it is causing a problem. Ken

Thanks for the responses after all the second guessing and beating my head against the wall I could not find anything wrong so I took the gun for test fire and it works fine it is just a rattle trap. It is the end of the slide assembly, it is not really supported at the end so it will move side to side just enough to contact the inside of the forend. A Ruger tech finally got back to me and assured me it is normal.
