SAVAGE 110 SAFETY

Question

Fires when on safe. The safety button rises when fired in the safe position. In the tape, Bobs gun has two adjusting screws with the farthest one to the rear the safety adjustment. The gun I have here has only one allen head screw in the safety block. I think this is the safety adjustment. But I figure I will ask to make sure. Thanks Gregg

Answer

Gonna pick on ya some. Examine the gun out of the stock. When the safety is on, does it block the trigger? Where? How would you adjust or make the safety so it will not allow the sear/trigger to move when the safety is in the “on” position? You should be able to see where the safety blocks the trigger and how it does it. Sounds like the safety is out of adjustment as it moves when in the on position and the trigger pulled…..that is a no-no. Let us know. Ken
