Have a Winchester 1897 solid frame 3 screw forearm. The action bar is broken right at the metal forearm tube. I’ve seen other posts where action bars have been welded back in place. This is my preferred fix (TIG will be professionally done. I’m still learning MIG) since the gun is circa 1902 and the logo is on the action bar itself not the barrel or receiver. Anybody with pros or cons? Thanks. Rick

I had one silver brazed, holding well, this is one I don’t shoot a lot. Thinking I want to find another 16 ga to use for CAS, just for fun. I have a bunch of 97s that we use for CAS . Bill
